Sebastian graduated from the University of Alabama with degrees in Biochemistry and Mathematics/Political Science. There he worked in the lab of Dr. Jack Dunkle on the biochemical analysis of proteins responsible for macrolide resistance. Currently, he is interested in the intersection of bioinformatics, biochemistry, and protein structure.
Grown in rural Colorado, Sebastian has great love for being in the beautiful outdoors hiking, skiing, and biking. He also enjoys the comfortable indoors where he can take part in tabletop role playing games, strategy board games, and vegetarian cooking. He is incredibly interested in science policy and communication and works with Harvard’s Science in the News and Science Policy groups.
