Laura was born in New York City and grew up in Bellevue, WA. She is an undergraduate at Harvard College studying Molecular and Cellular Biology and Economics. In high school, she was a research intern at Boston University Medical Center, where she studied post-cardiac arrest coma recovery in the lab of Dr. Charlene Ong, MD, MPHS. She joined the Kahne Lab in January 2024 and studies the degradation mechanism of the beta-barrel assembly machine with her mentor, Amber Scharnow.

In her free time, Laura enjoys pitching biopharma stocks with investment clubs at Harvard, designing for Harvard Yearbook Publications, and cafe-hopping.
