Clare grew up a mile away from DC in Arlington, VA and attended Georgetown University, where she studied biochemistry and worked in Dr. Rodrigo Maillard’s single-molecule biophysics laboratory. She is now interested in protein biochemistry and is jointly mentored by Dr. Dan Kahne and Dr. Andrew Kruse. 

Clare, like Elle Woods, is a vegetarian Gemini. In her free time, she loves dancing, sitting on her deck and spending time with friends. She is involved in the Harvard Graduate Student Union (HGSU- UAW) as a member of the Time’s Up Committee and enjoys volunteering at Food for Free, a local food bank focused on reducing waste and providing healthy food for those in need in Cambridge.
